Why cm/360 is the number to match

The cm/360, also called the 360 distance, is the distance your mouse moves for a full turn of the view. It combines DPI, sensitivity and the game's yaw into one number you can feel with your arm, so it carries over between games and between different mice.

Players use it to keep muscle memory when they change game, mouse or DPI. Type the cm/360 you want, set your DPI and pick a game to see what to enter. If you already know your sensitivity in one game, the converter starts from that instead.

Questions

How do I calculate cm/360?

cm/360 = 914.4 divided by (DPI x sensitivity x yaw). For example, Counter-Strike 2 at 800 DPI and a sensitivity of 1 gives 914.4 / (800 x 1 x 0.022) = 52 cm.

How do I convert cm/360 to in-game sens?

Type your cm360 above, set your DPI and choose the game. The calculator gives the sensitivity to enter, using sensitivity = 914.4 / (DPI x cm/360 x yaw). It works the other way too: put your sensitivity in the converter to see the cm/360 it gives.

What is a 360 distance?

It is how far you move the mouse, in centimetres or inches, for the view to turn all the way around. A bigger number means a slower sensitivity.

How can I measure my 360 distance by hand?

Put a ruler on your mouse pad, aim at a fixed point in the game, then slide the mouse straight sideways until the view comes back to the same point. Read the distance on the ruler. It should match the calculator within a few percent.

Why is my measured distance different?

Mouse acceleration, Windows pointer settings and games that do not use raw input change the real distance. Turn acceleration off and use raw input where the game offers it.
