What is cm/360?
The one number that describes your sensitivity in a way you can feel with your arm, and the one to keep when you change game, mouse or DPI.
Definition
cm/360 is the distance your mouse travels, in centimetres, for the view to turn a full 360 degrees. Also called the 360 distance (or in/360 when measured in inches), it combines your DPI, your in-game sensitivity and the game’s yaw into a single, physical number.
Because it describes your arm and not a setting, it stays meaningful when the settings change. Two players with different DPI, or two different games, have the same aim if their cm/360 is the same.
The formula
cm/360 = 914.4 ÷ (DPI × sensitivity × yaw)
The yaw is how many degrees one mouse count turns the view at sensitivity 1, and it is different in every game. The number 914.4 is 360 degrees times 2.54 centimetres per inch.
Worked example in Valorant, where the yaw is 0.07: at 800 DPI and a sensitivity of 0.35, cm/360 = 914.4 ÷ (800 × 0.35 × 0.07) = 46.7 cm, or 18.4 inches. Let the cm/360 calculator work it out for your game.
Sensitivity for a given cm/360
Want a particular turn distance? Rearrange the formula: sensitivity = 914.4 ÷ (DPI × cm/360 × yaw). This table shows the result at 800 DPI for five popular games. For other games and DPI use the calculator.

What do pros use?
Among professional players in SensLab’s verified dataset (updated October 2026), the median turn distances are:
| Game | Median cm/360 | Median eDPI | Pros |
|---|---|---|---|
| Counter-Strike 2 | 49.5 cm | 840 | 211 |
| Valorant | 60.5 cm | 216 | 164 |
| Apex Legends | 40 cm | 1040 | 113 |
| Overwatch 2 | 34.6 cm | 4000 | 123 |
| Fortnite | 31.2 cm | n/a | 104 |
| Rainbow Six Siege | 39.9 cm | 4000 | 89 |
| Marvel Rivals | 38.4 cm | 1360 | 126 |

How to find your own cm/360
- Calculate itEnter your sensitivity, DPI and game in the calculator. If you are not sure of your DPI, measure it first.
- Or measure itPut a ruler on the mouse pad, aim at a fixed point in a practice range, then slide the mouse sideways until you are facing the same point again. Read the distance on the ruler.
- Check the two agreeThey should match within a few percent. If not, turn off mouse acceleration and use raw input in the game.
Mistakes to avoid
Aim-down-sights and scope sensitivity are separate settings with their own cm/360. Field of view changes how some games turn the view (Rust and ARC Raiders scale with it). Mouse acceleration and games that ignore raw input change the real distance. And a mouse pad has to be long enough: to turn 180 degrees in one swipe you need half of your cm/360.
Questions
What is cm/360?
It is the distance, in centimetres, that you move your mouse for the view to turn a full 360 degrees. A bigger number means a slower sensitivity and a smaller number means a faster one. It is also called the 360 distance.
How do I calculate cm/360?
cm/360 = 914.4 divided by (DPI x sensitivity x yaw). For example, Valorant at 800 DPI and a sensitivity of 0.35 gives 914.4 / (800 x 0.35 x 0.07) = 46.7 cm.
How do I convert cm/360 to sensitivity?
Rearrange the formula: sensitivity = 914.4 / (DPI x cm/360 x yaw). The cm/360 calculator on this site does it for any game and DPI.
How do I convert cm/360 to DPI?
DPI = 914.4 / (cm/360 x sensitivity x yaw). If you know your sensitivity and you have measured your cm/360 in the game, this gives your real DPI.
What is a good cm/360?
There is no single right number. Pros in the games above sit between about 31 and 61 cm at the median, and the spread inside one game is wide. Your mouse pad, grip and role matter more than matching a pro, so change it in small steps.
Is a lower cm/360 faster?
Yes. A lower cm/360 means the view turns a full circle with less mouse travel, so the sensitivity is higher. A higher cm/360 is slower and gives you more room for fine aim.
What is the difference between cm/360 and eDPI?
eDPI multiplies DPI and sensitivity and only compares players inside the same game. cm/360 also includes the game's yaw, so it compares across games and across different mice.
