Rust to CS2 / CS:GO sensitivity converter
Type your Rust sensitivity and DPI. The CS2 number appears in the result as you type.
The Rust value is community-measured, not read from the game files. Check the result with one full turn in the game.
Rust to CS2 at a glance
Multiply your Rust sensitivity by 5.1136 to get the Counter-Strike 2 sensitivity that turns the view the same distance. To go back, multiply by 0.1956.
| Rust sensitivity | CS2 sensitivity | cm per 360° at 800 DPI |
|---|---|---|
| 0.2 | 1.023 | 50.8 cm |
| 0.3 | 1.534 | 33.9 cm |
| 0.4 | 2.045 | 25.4 cm |
| 0.5 | 2.557 | 20.3 cm |
| 0.6 | 3.068 | 16.9 cm |
Convert Rust to another game
How to convert it
- Find your sensitivity in Rust. It is in the console or the client.cfg file, under input.sensitivity.
- Multiply it by 5.1136 (0.1125 ÷ 0.022), or type it into the converter above, and enter the result in Counter-Strike 2.
- Use the same mouse DPI in both games, with raw input on and mouse acceleration off.
About the two games
Rust
The value is community-measured. Rust ties the turn speed to the vertical field of view: the distance for a full turn shrinks in proportion to graphics.fov, and the converter has a FOV field for it that starts at the default of 75. The numbers match readings at FOV 70, 80 and 90, and agree with another converter at FOV 75. There are no separate aim settings in the config, so the value is for hipfire. Engine: Unity. Yaw 0.1125.
Counter-Strike 2
It uses the standard Source yaw of 0.022. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive used the same value, so a CS:GO sensitivity carries over unchanged. Engine: Source 2. Yaw 0.022.
What players use in Rust and Counter-Strike 2
A sensitivity only means something next to the distance it gives you. These are the settings of players who compete in Counter-Strike 2, shown at 800 DPI. Pro numbers come from SensLab's October 2026 dataset of verified player settings; the last column converts each one so the view turns the same distance.
| CS2 players | cm per 360° | CS2 sens at 800 DPI | Same turn in Rust |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fast end | 41.6 cm | 1.25 | 0.244 |
| Median | 49.5 cm | 1.05 | 0.205 |
| Slow end | 54.7 cm | 0.95 | 0.186 |
Questions
How do I convert Rust sensitivity to CS2?
Multiply your Rust sensitivity by 5.1136. The result keeps the distance for a full turn the same, so your aim feels the same in CS2.
What is 0.4 Rust sensitivity in CS2?
0.4 in Rust is 2.045 in CS2. At 800 DPI that is 25.4 cm of mouse travel for a full 360 degree turn in both games.
Is Rust sensitivity the same as CS2?
No. Rust turns the view 5.11 times as far as CS2 at the same number, which is why the numbers differ.
Does DPI change the Rust to CS2 conversion?
No. As long as the mouse DPI is the same in both games, the conversion does not depend on it. DPI only matters for your cm/360 and eDPI.
Is CS:GO sensitivity the same as CS2?
Yes. Counter-Strike 2 kept the 0.022 yaw that CS:GO used, so a CS:GO sensitivity carries over to CS2 unchanged. Use the same mouse DPI and keep raw input on.
